I have to refer to the Ministry of Health's letter of
22nd ultimo, III B/103,007/41B/31, enclosing copies of a draft
of the Public Health (Imported Food, Amendment Regulations,
1934, proposed to be made in order to impose further safeguards
with regard to the importation of meat and meat products into
England and Wales, and to confirm, as stated in paragraph 10,
that the Department of Health for Scotland are publishing draft
Regulations of similar effect in regard to such imports into
Scotland.
Copies of the draft Regulations will be forwarded whenever
they are available.
I have accordingly to request that similar notification to
Colonial Governments will be made in regard to imports into
Scotland as in regard to imports into England and Wales, and that /
